<p>The radiator shelf (3) is fixed to the wall (2) by a bracket (4). The underside of the shelf is inclined to form a diverging air gap.(The flow of air is indicated by the arrows (5)). The effect of the diverging air gap is to promote a less turbulent flow of warm air into the room compared with the effect of a horizontal shelf. As an addition, the shelf can be fitted with a front grille and side panels with a fan installed below the shelf to mechanically ventilate the enclosed space.</p> |
