<p>The hand-operated stop valve has a piston-or cone-type plug pressed by a spindle against a seat. The spindle is enclosed by an electromagnet fixed to the housing, while an armature plate, fixed to the spindle, works with the magnet. The valve piston or cone plug can be thrust by a compression spring enclosing the spindle inside the housing against the seat. The spring acts between spindle and housing.</p> |
