Solar heat exploiting external wall facade - acts as heat exchanger with rear ducting system providing forced air circulation

Weather protection is afforded by a facade wall, esp. of panels or slabs, fastened at or internal from the external wall of a building. The hollow intervening space provides an air ducting system, with the facade wall used as a heat-exchanger. The facade wall has a fan (12) attached to it, for forced circulation of air through the system and a heat-exchanger (14) belonging to the hot water and/or heating system in the building. The panels (4) can have ribs (6), to form the ducting system in the direction of forced air flow, and can be made of heat-conductive material, esp. thin sheet-metal.
