PURPOSE:To reduce the number of program steps and shorten a processing time by a method wherein an actual wheel velocity is compared with an imaginary vehicle velocity to thereby discriminate whether or not the vehicle is being decelerated at a deceleration value of not less than amount 1G. CONSTITUTION:The antiskid device is provided with a wheel velocity sensor 1 which detects the wheel velocity and generates a number of pulses, the number being proportional to the wheel velocity, and the output signals from the sensor 1 are fed to a controlling circuit 2. The circuit 2 calculates an optimum slip factor and the slip of wheels on the basis of the signals from the sensoe 1, and generates a brake- moderating signal, which is used to control a brake oil-pressure circuit 4 through an actuator 3. In this case, the imaginary vehicle velocity is obtained by subtracting the product of the lapse of time (from the time when the deceleration was started at the deceleration value of not less than about 1G) and the deceleration value from the wheel velocity detected at the time of starting the deceleration. The imaginary vehicle velocity is compared with the actual wheel velocity to thereby discriminate whether or not the vehicle is being decelerated at a deceleration value of not less than about 1G. |
