PURPOSE:To obtain the lens for glasses which is excellent in the resistance against shock, scratch or the like by a method wherein a cavity is formed by adhering a sealing film around the side peripheries of two pieces of molds and the material of the plastic is hardened in this cavity. CONSTITUTION:The molds 12, 13 are attached to vacuum chucks 16, 17 at the tip ends of suction pipes 14, 15 and a moving trestle 18 is moved to determine a distance between the molds. Subsequently, an adhesive tape is adhered along the wall surfaces of the molds to an extent that the tape is overlapped to some degree, thereafter, the tape is peeled immediately before the tape is overlapped again and the materials of plastic are filled into a gap enclosed by the molds and the tape. Next, the molds, filled with the materials of plastic and assembled, are taken out of the trestle 18 and are put into a heating furnace to harden the plastic. After hardened, the molds are taken out of the heating furnace and the tape is separated, then the molds are released, thus, the plastic lens may be obtained. |
