<p>The housing design allows the sealing process to be completed and the housing to be removed from the compound injection machine before the compound has set thereby increasing prodn. The housing (1) has an upper chamber (2) for the required terminal connections (9,10) and a separating wall (3) with a second chamber below (4) for the electronic components. These components e.g. a transformer (8), a fuse (6) and a resistor (7), are mounted on a circuit board (5) which provides mechanical support when the chamber is filled with the sealing compound. The design is for the shaped cover (15) with side injection points which allow the compound to be fed into the chamber (4) from the thick sides (16) of the cover adjacent to the fixing holes, a gap is left between the cover and housing wall where the cover fits on. Air discharge ports (14a etc.) are also provided to ensure the compound fills the chamber and provide a compound fill monitor, four such ports being provided at each corner of the housing.</p> |
