The combustion-air flow regulator for solid fuel fired installations is for plant with a control-rod operated air flap. A controlling element acts, directly or indirectly, on this rod (5) which can move between fulcrum-stops either side of it (11,12) under the influence of a spring (13). With the element in the starting position the spring, positioned between one fulcrum (11) and the control element's point of action (4), presses the rod against that fulcrum causing the flap (6) to be held shut. A rod extension (10) beyond that point of action interacts with the second fulcrum (12).
