The bearing for a helicopter rotor drive is intended for isolation of vibrations. It has a pendulum-type support plate (12) slung between fixed supports (13) on the fuselage using crossed support bands (11) looped over the two support sections. The bands are crossed between the support plate and the fixed supports and are fibre reinforced for accommodating large tension forces. The bands are secured by looping their ends over fixed pegs (16). They can be adjusted for different tension values to accommodate different drives. They provide translational and rotational damping without a complex spring support system.
