The cladding comprises a supporting frame (2) of metal bars (5) in a grid pattern, the areas (8) enclosed by the bars being filled with heat-accumulating material. The tiles are secured to one surface of this material. The bars can be solidly fixed together and can be of rectangular section, mounted edge-on in relation to the cladding material plane, with holes through them. Their edges towards the tiles can lie in a common plane, and they can be secured to a holding frame (3).
