PURPOSE:To prevent the erosion of metal parts without affecting ink by providing an electrode in ink and flowing DC current between the electrode and the metal part in contact with ink in an ink mist type ink jet recorder. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recorder, an electrode 22 is inserted into the metal part in contact with ink of an ink circulation path 12, e.g., a pipe 11, through an insulation part 21 in such a way as to position it into ink, and then micro DC current is flowed from DC power source 23 in such a way as to make the electrode 22 plus (+) and also to make the metal part minus (-). The electrode 22 made of platinum or carbon can resist corrosion during the electrification by which oxidative reaction can be suppressed at the contact face between the metal part in contact with ink and the ink 3. In case where plural metal parts to be touched with ink are used and are not electrically connected, resistors R1-R4 for distributing current are preferably connected to each of the metal parts to make it negatively charged electrode. |
