The floor anchoring is sturdy enough to support a free standing length of trunking and obviates the need for external drilling into the trunking for mounting supports. The trunking (10) is first fixed to a base plate (16) which has a central aperture (18). Around the aperture are predrilled holes (22) which align with ribbed (12) screw-threaded retainer (14) on the inside of the trunking (10). The base plate (16) has predrilled holes (24) on the outer perimeter, which stand proud of the trunking (10) when screwed into position, for fixing the base plate to the floor. The base plate (16) central aperture (18) can house a plug and socket arrangement (20) of various types as required for any electrical or communications installation. In alternative designs these plug and sockets (20) are screwed into the floor or trunking base as required.
|
