PURPOSE:To eliminate the variation of a clearance between a punch and dies due to a temperature rise of ball screws by adjusting pre-load of a linear bearing with a laser beam compound machine provided with the punch and dies to reciprocate with the linear bearing along a linear guide. CONSTITUTION:Pitches of the ball screw to drive the punch 12 and the ball screw to drive the dies 13 are corrected by NC devices which are independent respectively and in a state that there is no temperature difference, the clearance between the punch and the dies is adjusted. The linear bearing 15 is constituted so as to be able to adjust the pre-load and the friction torque of a nut 16 can be freely adjusted. According to the direction of the generation of the clearance, the pre-load of the linear bearing 15 is varied and the operation is continued and the pre-load of the bearing 15 is adjusted till the clearance between the punch and the dies at a point of time when the temperature rise is saturated lastly is made to the same state as a clearance value before the operation. By this method, the deviation (positional error) between the punch and the dies due to the temperature ries of the ball screws perfectly prevented and the stable punching work is carried out by the laser beam compound machine to drive the punch and the dies separately. |
