PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing purified lacquer excellent in transparency and glossiness of a coating film after being cured.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing purified lacquer from a raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer includes an agitation process of using an agitation apparatus 10, which comprises a cylindrical agitation tank 1 and a rotary vane 3 rotating along an inner peripheral surface 31 of the agitation tank 1 and formed by a cylindrical perforated plate 32 formed with a plurality of through holes 33 allowing the raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer to flow therethrough, to supply the raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer into the agitation tank 1, and rotating the rotary vane 3 to agitate the raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer while spreading the raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer in the form of a thin film on the inner peripheral surface 31 of the agitation tank 1. In the agitation process, the peripheral velocity of the rotary vane is less than 20 m/s and the agitation time of the raw material lacquer liquid or raw lacquer is less than 60 s.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
