PURPOSE:To convert the analogue signal to a binary accurately even if the amplitude of the analogue signal is small, by inputting the potential of the slice level to positive and negative envelope circuits as the steady state potential and by forming an envelope waveform on a basis of this potential. CONSTITUTION:Analogue signal (a) is amplified by amplifying circuit 1 and is inputted to envelope circuits 2A and 2B and comparator circuit 4. Output waveforms of positive and negative envelope circuits 2A and 2B are inputted to slice level generating circuit 3, and middle points of respective waveforms become slice levels. These slice levels are held by steady state potential circuit 5 and are inputted to envelope circuits 2A and 2B. These envelope circuits form envelope waveforms on a basis of these slice levels. Slice levels are compared with analogue signal (a) by comparator circuit 4, and digital output (b) is outputted from circuit 4. |
