PURPOSE:To secure the prevention of a phenomenon like lightning discharge by making a voltage applied to an anode electrode to be cut off after discharge is initiated. CONSTITUTION:After source-fire voltages are applied to source-fire electrodes 16a and 16b and source-fire discharge is initiated, a signal is given to a reset cathode electrode 15. Here, cathode voltage signals phi1, phi2 and phi3 are in a state of being produced constantly. When an anode voltage signal phiA rises, source-fire discharge is shifted to the discharge between the reset cathode electrode 15 and an anode electrode 17a, and the discharges of cathode electrodes 14a-14c are carried out in that order in response to the signals phi1-phi3. When the shifting discharges of cathode electrodes 14a, 14b, 14c... are displayed in that order dynamicly, divided anode electrodes 17a, 17b... are cut off in that order. |
