PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to heat, corrosion, and wear to a greater extent, by adding specific amounts of potassium titanate fiber to a composition having a specific composition containing a material providing resistance to heat, corrosion, and wear, a binder, and a thermal conductivity-improving material. CONSTITUTION:A composition for heat insulation and corrosion prevention of metallic members inside a boiler has a composition consisting of, by weight, 25-60% of component (a) as a material providing resistance to heat, corrosion, and wear, 20-50% of component (b) as a binder providing sealing characteristic and bonding strength between coated films 10-30% of component (c) as a thermal conductivity-improving material, and 3-20% of component (d) as an aggregate improving bonding strength between coated films. The component (a) consists of 20-40% each of silicon carbide, silicon nitride, and mica-like Al oxide, 10-30% each of boron carbide and powdered mica, and 5-20% each of SiO2 and Ni oxide. The component (b) consists of 30-60% phosphate, 15-40% each of Y oxide, mika-like glass flakes, and copper sulfate, and 5-20% copper oxide. The component (c) consists of 20-40% powdered Al and 10-30% each of powdered metallic Si, mica-like powdered iron oxide, and powdered Tin, and further, the component (d) consists of potassium titanate fiber. |
