PURPOSE:To reduce the volume of coupling rings fitted in grooves, while increasing the area of contact at the junction, for producing greater coupling force with reduced pressure, by forming annular lugs in the grooves made on plates. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid clutch 2 is used for connecting a compressor 4 with an engine. A boss 8, fixed to a compressor shaft 6, is connected with a disc plate 100 through a spring 10. The disc plate 100, which is opposed to a rotor 200, is composed of first and second steel discs 110, 120 and a coupling ring 130, the rotor 200 being composed of first, second and third rotor plates 210, 220, 230 and coupling rings 240, 242. Grooves and annular lugs formed on the plates can improve the coupling force. |
