PURPOSE:To prevent the development of any pinhole by making a fluorescent-body suspension containing a polyvinyl alcohol as a binding agent, to be added with either a silane or a rubber system resin whose ratio to the former polyvinyl alcohol is over 3wt%. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent-body suspension, which is prepared by suspending a fluorescent body in an aqueous solution of a polyvinyl alcohol used as a binding agent, is added with either a silane or a rubber system resin such as E-305, whose ratio to the former polyvinyl alcohol should be over 3wt%. As a result, the adhesive force of thus prepared coating fluorescent-body mixture to the inner wall of a face plate becomes extermely weak. Consequently, when an organic film containing principally a water-soluble acrylic emulsion is applied and dried, any shift of the coating fluorescent-body mixture which is caused by the permeation of the acrylic emulsion can be eliminated, and thereby any pinhole developed in the fluorescent- body layer can be prevented. |
