PURPOSE:To obviate any crack generation on the surface of a dielectric layer which serves as a displaying area, and prevent the surface from being contaminated by the adhesion of dust or the like, by using divided squeezers for printing sealing layers on the peripheral sides of a display panel, and by making only the parts on which sealing layers are printed to be pressed. CONSTITUTION:After the ends of divided squeezers 61-63 are arranged on a line, a printing mask 1 is pressed by the squeezers 61-63, a Y-axis side sealing layer being printed. At the point when the printing of the Y-axis side sealing layer is finished, a central squeezer 63 is controlled to be separated from the surface of the printing mask 1 by an air cylinder 72. After that, both X-axis side sealing layers along the shifting direction of the squeezers are printed. Here, only the parts of the printing mask 1 which correspond to the patterns of these sealing layers are pressed, and the discharging surface which is coated with a dielectric layer 4 is not pressed by the central squeezers 63. Following this, the ends of the squeezers 61-63 are arranged on a line, and another Y-axis side sealing layer is printed. |
