According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate; a pixel electrode formed on the substrate and separated from the substrate each other wherein the pixel electrode comprises a first sub pixel electrode and a second sub pixel electrode located in one pixel region; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a common electrode formed on the second substrate; and a liquid crystal layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate. A first voltage applied to the first sub pixel electrode is different from a second voltage applied to the second sub pixel electrode. The second sub pixel electrode is located on an outer side of the pixel region so that the second sub pixel electrode is located at four edges of the pixel region.
