<p>The insulating wall coating consists of a thermally insulating layer (10) bearing on its front or visible face a decorative pattern (14) which hides the consistency of the thermal insulation and on its back a metal layer (16) which reflects thermal radiation. The thermally insulating layer (10) comprises at least one layer of a foam plastic film (12) with closed, gas-containing pores, a glass fibre film, a plastics film made of terephthalic acid-ethylene glycol polyester or a knobbed plastics film or else a combination of at least two such materials. The decoration (14) can also be applied, in particular printed, on a paper, vinyl or cloth wallpaper (20) attached to the front of the thermally insulating layer (10). Furthermore, at least one layer of the thermally insulating layer can be provided on at least one side with a dark layer (18) for absorbing the thermal radiation reflected at the rearward metal layer. The metal layer (16) is preferably applied to a polyester film (22) which prevents the convection of heat. An adhesive can be present on the back. <IMAGE></p> |
