PURPOSE:To stabilize the resulting photographic heat-sensitive base generator and provide superior photographic characteristic by using one or more kinds of compounds selected from specified metallic phosphates, phosphites, hydrogenphosphates and hydrogenphosphites. CONSTITUTION:This photographic heat-sensitive base generator contains one or more kinds of compounds represented by the formula [where M is Li, Na, K, Rb, Be, Mg, Ca or Ba, each of (v) and (y) is 1-3, (w) is 0-4, (x) is 3 or 4 and (z) is 0-12]. When this base generator is applied to photographic use as a heat developer, it is dispersed or dissolved in an org. solvent or an aqueous soln. contg. a binder, pulverized with a ball mill, and applied to a photosensitive emulsion layer or other constituent layer of a photosensitive material or a sheet separate from the material. |
