PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer that is precise in size and does not allow paste bleeding, and a manufacturing method for the polarizer.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method comprises a step of offering polishing equipment provided with a base including its top face, a fixing device, a polishing face and a polishing device including a center axis and a reference line perpendicular to the extending direction of the center axis; a step of installing on the top face of the face a laminate including a polarizing unit, edges and a polishing start position; a step of squeeze-holding the laminate between the fixing device and the base, and a polishing step of partly removing edges of the laminate from the polishing start position by polishing at least one edge of the laminate to obtain at least one polarizer. The polarizers are manufactured by polishing edges of the laminate at a preset lead-in angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
