PURPOSE:To reduce the number of ten-key operating times and to improve an maneuverability, by a method wherein register value is inputted through a digital counter for the number of registering times to the second shift register from the lowest digit, and shift registers except the lowest digit are simultaneously shifted. CONSTITUTION:With a ten-key 1 operated to set 1 of 150 and the like, a pulse P1 outputted from a pulse generator 3 opens an AND gate 8 through a decoder 5 corresponding to a digital value of the number of registering times by means of a counter 4, and BCD signals for register value 1 from encoder 2 are set to a digit B next to the lowest digit in the shift register. Then, with the key 1 operated to set 5 or the like, shift pulses from the generator 3 are simultaneously applied to the digits B-D except the lowest digit A, and 5 corresponding to the register is set at the digit B in the manner described above. Thus, 150, whose lowest digit is 0, is set without setting the lowest digit. As a result, the number of register-operating times can be reduced and a maneuverability of a setting device is improved. |
