The bank sheet-piling comprises piles driven into the ground at regular intervals and joined together by sheet sections behind them on the landward side. These sheet sections comprise thin plates (2) of glass-fibre-reinforced concrete, containing vertical trough-shaped recesses (2,4) at regular intervals by which they fit round the piles. The recesses (3,5) at opposite ends of each plate can be of different sizes, so that the larger one fits round the smaller one on the next plate. The piles can be of circular, and the troughs of semicircular section, and plate thickness can be approximately 10mm.
|
