PURPOSE:To directly correct an original by uniformly electrifying an electrostatic latent image carrier and projecting the light to remove the electric charge on the area other than a designated area and transferring a flat image having the same color as a sheet to a part corresponding to the designated area of the original. CONSTITUTION:The original is interposed between an original platen 101 and an image editing map 102 and coordinates corresponding to an edition area M where an image should be deleted are read. The flat overlap mode is selected on a console panel, and a range set button 112 is depressed and the coordinate value is inputted with ten keys 113. When the original is fed to operate the image forming process thereafter, a photosensitive drum is uniformly electrified and the electric charge on the part other than the part corresponding to the area M is removed based on the data of the area M inputted with ten keys 113. Thus, the overall image having the same color as the sheet is transferred to the area M of the original. Consequently, the original is directly corrected and edition is performed without degrading the image resolution. |
