Heat conducting and electrically insulating binder - comprising e.g. metal oxide particles in adhesive matrix e.g. silicone used for heat transfer

A heat conducting and electrically insulating binder comprises a matrix of adhesive material in which are embedded heat conducting particles. The particles are pref. metal oxides (esp. Al2O3 and Be oxide), boron nitride or mica, which are electrical insulators while having good heat conductivity. The binder pref. also contains metal particles which are electrically insulated from each other. The binder is used for transferring heat from a heat source, e.g. an electronic component, to a heat radiator or to the surrounding air. The binder does not creep so that risks of short circuit are avoided.
