The cutting equipment uses a high-pressure water jet, having a pipe from a high-pressure pump to a discharge nozzle in the cutter head. A water collector is mounted below the head. The head is suspended so as to move freely from a spring component, and is connected via a stirrup to the water collector. The latter comprises a collector pipe running in the direction of the jet emerging from the head, and closed at one end, above which there is a column of water whose height is determined by a drain. The latter is connected to the collector pipe below an air outlet. The water-supply pipe to the nozzle is so designed as to allow free movement of the cutter head.
