Extension bed exhibiting the characteristics of a divan bed which, in the 'bed' position or extended position, is formed of two bed base frames (3-3, 4-4) disposed virtually in the same horizontal plane and, in the 'divan' position or retracted position, is formed by the super- position of the two bed base frames, the two bed base frames being designed in order to slide one over the other, one of the bed base frames (3-3) being equipped, at each of its transverse ends, with a guide profile (7), a portion of which (7'), which is curved downwards, can bear on a longitudinal member (9) of the other bed base frame so that, when passing from the 'bed' position to the 'divan' position, the bed base frame (3-3) equipped with the said guide profile inclines upwards and forwards relative to the other bed base frame (4-4). <IMAGE> |
