PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of winding a bulked continuous filament yarn, which enables formation of superior yarn packages, including higher density packages with excellent shape and yarn takeoff characteristics.SOLUTION: Provided is a method of making a package of a bulked continuous filament yarn wound on a tube core having an axis, comprising: (a) rotating the tube upon its axis; (b) winding the yarn on the tube using at least one non-adjacent wind ratio until the package diameter becomes 130 mm to 180 mm; and (c) winding the yarn on the tube using at least one precision adjacent wind ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
