The device displays the initials, or an abbreviation of a radio station name to which a radio receiver is tuned and has a display such as an alpha numeric display coupled to a memory seven segment circuit. The memory is in turn coupled to the radio station selector. The memory compares the received signal frequency with a stored value to indicate the tuned station. The device is primarily preprogrammed for long wave use where station frequencies are internationally fixed but for short wave and f.m. station selection the memory may be preprogrammed for a particular area or may be user programmable.
