PURPOSE:To arrange so that a torque may be transmitted even when the relative number of rotations of an input part and an output part is nil by arranging the second connection body in a clearance where a soft magnetic body capable of closing a magnetic circuit with low magnetic resistance and a magnetic piece are opposed so that the second connection body may be placed under low inertia. CONSTITUTION:Another main shaft 6 is supported in a freely rotatable fashion on the first connection body 3 in the same axis as a main shaft 1 through the intermediary of a bearing 7, and opposed to a magnetic piece 2 through the first clearance 9, a hysteresis magnetic plate 8 is fixed on the main shaft 6 on a concentric circle through the intermediary of a support 10. On a surface opposite to a magnetic piece 2 on the magnetic plate 8, a cylindrical second connection body 12 is constituted with a copper plate 11 consisting of an electroconductive material is formed. In addition, on the diamagnetic polar piece 2 side of the magnetic plate 8, with the second clearance 14 provided in an opposite position, a soft magnetic body 13 is fixed on the first connection body 3 through the intermediary of a nonmagnetic body 15. Under this constitution, it is possible to obtain an excellent eddy current joint having high efficiency and high acceleration which can be used as a brake. |
