The present invention relates to a steel box girder and a reinforcement method thereof. The steel box girder comprises: a plate-shaped flange; a longitudinal rib which is installed on one surface of the flange in a longitudinal direction; and a longitudinal reinforcement member which is formed to be parallel with the longitudinal rib and is installed in one or more from the flange and the longitudinal rib using bolts. Therefore, the present invention minimizes damage to the flange and the rib and increases load carrying capacity, although the flange and the rib cannot provide enough load carrying capacity by themselves. |
