In a display panel having a small display surface like that of a wrist watch, the common electrode has two terminal port. One of the main lines of the terminal pattern in the common electrode is arranged to the upper part of the up and down display means; the other of the terminal pattern in the common electrodes is arranged to the lower part of the up and down display means respectively. The display segment is arranged on the display panel along the branch derived from the main line(4, 5, 6) of the terminal pattern.
