The present invention relates to a method for extracting a corresponding point from a stereo image, the method comprising the following steps: a candidate point selection step of selecting one or more pixels as a first candidate image point from a first image and selecting a plurality of pixels of a different position as a plurality of candidate image points from a second image with respect to the first and the second image forming a stereo image; a patch setting step of setting a plurality of first image patches including neighboring pixels of the first candidate image point, including neighboring pixels of the plurality of second candidate image points to set a plurality of second image patches corresponding to the first image patches; a brightness value correlation degree calculating step of calculating a brightness value correlation degree in comparison with the plurality of second image patches corresponding to each first image patch; and a corresponding point determining step of synthesizing the calculated brightness value correlation degree to determine a corresponding point corresponding to a first candidate image point from the second candidate image points. According to the present invention, since a plurality of image patches are set to each candidate point to draw matching results corresponding to the number of image patches, and the corresponding point is determined based on the matching results, a matching failure and error can be dramatically reduced in comparison with a single patch application. |
