Gas turbine rotor imbalance correction equipment - has three imbalance discs of two different weights

The equipment corrects rotor imbalance in machines such as gas turbines, having two or more discs with set eccentric weights. These can be turned coaxially to the rotor to counteract imbalance and are then locked in the desired positions. Three such discs are provided, each with a set degree of imbalance, this being in the case of the one 50% of the max. which can be counteracted, and in that of the other two 25%. The first one is so secured to the rotor that its own imbalance vector (U1) is opposed to that (Ueff) of the rotor. The imbalance resulting (UR) from those of the first disc and of the rotor is counteracted by the other two discs of lesser imbalance.
