[Class 97 (i).] A reflecting device for attachment to kerbs, walls, fences, and like boundaries of roads, comprises a holder 1, cemented or otherwise secured to the kerb 8 or the like, and a reflector 9, Figs. 5 and 6, removably mounted in and protected by the holder. In the form shown, the holder is of white metal and is shaped to provide a flange 4 adjacent its closed rear end 2, and a recess 5 at its open front end 3. The reflector is mounted in a carrier 10, a left-handed screw-thread 13 on which engages with a screw-threaded central recess 11 in the holder. One or more reflectors may be arranged within a single holder and where a number are used they may be arranged in rows of staggered formation. In a modification, the carrier 10 is dispensed with and the screwthread 13 is formed on the reflector.</p> |
