<p>A portable settling tank, specially for water and sewage, is designed as a rectangular box with parallel baffles which divide the ascending flow into several parallel paths. The sinks are deposited on the baffles and as the tank is mounted in an inclined position, the deposited particles can slide down to a sump where they are periodically discharged. The boxes are designed in the dimensions of standard shipping containers which facilitates their transport by land and sea. They can be produced at low cost and have a greater utilization factor of the space.</p> |
