The anti-skid device comprises a tread chain (7) which is connected to two resilient stainless steel rings (1, 2) by means of clamping members (8). Said members may slide like a curtain on the rings (1, 2) but are retained thereto radially, non removably. The ring (1) arranged on the side wall of the tyre is resiliently extensible and exhibits a curved end, the other end (36) covering said curved end. The four clamping members (8) adjacent to the ends (3a, 3b) are rigidly connected by pairs, each to a portion of a closure hook element (9, 10). Said hook element holds the ring (1) at the ends thereof (3a, 3b) while the clamping members (8) are evenly distributed about the ring (1). Two hooking handles (12) bear against the front ring (2) with two removable clamping members (14), inserted resiliently in a radial direction into the ring, and are interconnected by traction members (16). |
