A steering and guiding channel is provided for mineral-extracting machines with chainless forwarding system and face conveyor for long face working in an underground mine. It is assembled from channel pieces. Each has a base plate (1), with a guiding plate (2) on the backfilling side, sliding track (4) on the face side, and intervening bearing blocks (5). These have holes, for fixture of spur rack or driving-bar segments (7) secured in them by bolts (8). The guiding plate may be fitted with a device (3) for holding the conveyor (9) down. All the elements of the system are integrated so as to form a single entity.
