PURPOSE:To strengthen damping of fine vibrations and thereby enhance comfort in a car by providing a chamber, which is in communication with a working chamber provided in the inner cylinder and accomodating gas encapsulated bellows, at the tip of piston rod in a double-cylindrical oil-hydraulic damper for car. CONSTITUTION:Sliding intrusion of a piston 4 will raise the oil pressure in the lower chamber 13 by an amount corresponding to the volume of the rod 5 and, before the oil pressure is released through a bottom valve, the oil intrudes in a chamber 17 through an orifice 16a and compresses bellows 18. A gas chamber 19 is accordingly compressed and deformed. The oil escapes to the chamber 17 in an amount corresponding to said deformation, where a damping force is to be generated. Thus, damping force is acquired even for the initial period of piston stroke or too small strokes under which the bottom valve is not actuated, that will well contribute to absorbing fine vibrations and enhancing thereby comfort in a car. |
