In order to displace the table, wheel arrangements (10) are provided. Each wheel arrangement is releasably connected to a vertical bar (3) of the table frame (2) by means of a sleeve (12). The latter is fastened, such that it cannot turn or slide, at the end of an associated horizontal bar (4) of the frame. In order to raise and lower the table, use is made in each case of a spindle device (11) which can be coupled and uncoupled by means of a snapping and latching connection (19). In this manner, a reliable and rapid connection of the wheel arrangement and the raising device is achieved. <IMAGE>
