The disconnector truck (1) of the high-voltage switching installation can be withdrawn in the normal manner, the at least one disconnection contact (2) of the disconnector truck (1), which is at earth potential in the disconnection position, being pivoted away, once mechanical disconnection of the contacts (2, 3) has been completed, in such a manner that a disconnection path (A) to the stationary contact (3) is in this case produced which is larger than the disconnection path (B) which is normally obtained by the travel of the disconnecting truck (1) on its own.
