Floating air compressor - with open air motor and submerged compressor resting on floats

Compressor for use during hydraulic constructional work or for the aeration of ponds or clarification basins rests on at least one float. The motor is arranged to remain above water level and drives the totally submerged compressor section through a vertical shaft. When two floats are used, one is designed as a silencer for the air intake and the other for the air delivery. An open-air motor has a better efficiency than a submersible motor and requires less power. Floating design saves the infrastructure and cools the compressor efficiently. It also improves the flexibility in the application of the compressor in different localities.
