NEW MATERIAL:A novel recombinant plasmid, having a gene containing at least all code parts of human fibrolastic interferon messenger RNA, and prepared by inserting DNA synthesized with human fibroblastic interferon messenger RNA as its template into vector plasmid DNA. EXAMPLE:A recombined Escherichia coli plasmid. USE:Useful for preparing antiviral and antitumor human interferon in a large quantity and at a low cost after multiplied in bacteria, e.g. Escherichia coli. PROCESS:Cytoplasmic RNA is extracted from a human fibroblast, etc. induced by poly (I)(C), etc. From the cytoplasmic RNA thus extracted is separated human fibroblastic interferon mRNA, among which a highly active one is used as a template to synthesize double stranded DNA with a reverse trancriptase, etc. The resultant double stranded DNA is inserted into vector DNA to produce recombinats, from which the titled recombinant plasmid is obtained by making a search therefor with a probe. |
