Connection system for multiple HF circuits - uses adjacent sections with axes at ninety degrees to give short connectors

The application is typically to the interconnection of HF signal sources and sinks in TV studio electronic equipment. Each stage (27,28,29) comprises a number of subsections (10,11, 26) each of which is a printed circuit card. Each card has an equal number of input and output terminals. The stages are so arranged relative to each other that the flat plane of the circuit cards in one stage is at 90 degrees to the same plane in an adjacent stage. With the specified physical arrangement of stages the interconnections can be made short, which is an advantage in HF circuits. The connections between individual subsections in adjacent stages are made with plug connectors (30) linking input and output terminals directly.
