The bottle storage and transport box is made in rectangular or square shape with compartments in its interior for each separate bottle. The box has at least two guide ribs on each of its side surfaces extending vertically to the floor of the box. The guide ribs of two opposite sides are positioned at such a distance from each other and are offset relative to each other so that in side view the guide ribs of one side lie inside or outside those of the opposite side. In addition there is a further guide rib extending parallel to the upper or lower edge and there are recesses in the guide ribs at those points which lie opposite to the guide ribs extending vertical to the former on the opposite side.
