SADDLE TREE FOR RIDING SADDLES A saddle tree is formed from a conventionally constructed saddle tree member including a cantle that is adapted to receive and locate cantle plates of different lengths and widths so that the saddle trees of different sizes can be made using the same saddle tree member and cantle. The separate cantle plate has a forward portion fitted over the cantle of the saddle tree member whereby to locate the cantle plate relative to the saddle tree member. The cantle plate is then fixed to the saddle tree member. The saddle tree member is of conventional steel construction with a wooden cantle, while the cantle plate is made of injection moulded plastic material. The arrangement affords economy by using only one size of saddle tree member with various different sizes of cantle plates.
