PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that interfaces with a novel top-level network management software.SOLUTION: A system comprises a server cabinet and a physical infrastructure management (PIM) software. The server cabinet includes: an intelligent cabinet hub; and a plurality of modules which are connected to the hub and include a power module, an intelligent physical layer management module, an environmental sensor module, an asset tracking module, and a cabinet security module. The PIM software receives data, which includes data obtained from the plurality of modules, from the hub, and interfaces with a management software; uses the data to provide a user with data aggregation, data visualization, capacity planning, and alert notification; and communicates the data to the management software by processing and consolidating the data before its transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a |
