Strainer slits (2) are produced by a mechanical machining process in a strainer plate (1) or basket with slight over-dimensioning of the final slit width. Then at least the approach-flow side of the strainer plate or basket is provided with a coating (3) on the basis of which the final slit width (5) is produced. Preferably, relatively wide grooves (4) are provided on the outflow side of the strainer plate or basket and the slits are formed in the webs between the bases of said grooves and the approach-flow side of the strainer plate or basket. <IMAGE> |
